🎬 The Long Path: A Journey of Becoming
About the Film
It’s human nature to pretend things are okay during times of struggle.
For New Jersey runner and race director Kim Levinsky, that was once her reality.
Through her attempt to set the Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the relatively unknown 358-mile New York State Long Path, Kim embarks on more than just an endurance challenge—she begins a deeply personal journey.
What unfolds is a story of vulnerability, growth, and transformation, as she moves from reluctantly starting therapy to becoming a mental health advocate within her community.
This 40-minute film is more than a documentary—it’s a conversation starter.
Why This Screening Matters
The Long Path isn’t just about miles—it’s about mindset.
- Open conversations about mental health
- Breaking down stigmas around therapy
- Connecting through shared experiences
- Building a stronger outdoor and local community
We encourage everyone—not just runners or hikers—to attend.
Join the Conversation
While the film can be watched anytime, this in-person screening experience is something special.
After the film, we invite you to stay, reflect, and take part in a meaningful conversation with fellow attendees. Whether you choose to share or simply listen, your presence matters.
