This is the second Yakima Jaylow rack that I've owned. The first had a problem where the screws holding the upper arm came loose and fell out. Luckily I found them and replaced the... view morem with threadlock. The new one I just got doesn't have these screws, as they changed the design and now use rivets. No doubt to prevent the screws from coming loose. The problem is that now you can't tighten the upper arm and now my rack is coming apart with no way to tighten it. This is unacceptable for the amount of money the Jaylow rack costs. Buyer beware. view less
I chose these over other, similar racks because 1.) they can adjust to carry either one or two kayaks (slanted for one, straight up for two), and 2.) they fold down when not in use... view more. They are very easy to install and remove from the roof rack cross bars, and will seemingly fit any cross bar style, so are easy to move between vehicles. It's nice that they also come with a set of load straps, including ones to support the ends of the kayak. view less
