Comments about Campmor Youth Cascade II Parka: This is such a great jacket that we bought one for each of our sons, ages 6 and 8. Aside from wearing it on rainy school days, this jacket is great for hiking and backpacking. My boys have hiked several 4,000 footers and needed a shell that they could layer up underneath, keep the wind out and protect them in the rain. This jacket did just that. We couldn't be happier with it.

Comments about Campmor Youth Cascade II Parka: I got this coat for my 9 year old daughter because it was the cheapest raincoat that was available. When it came, I was impressed enough that I think I'll be getting some of these for the rest of my family. Great value!

Comments about Campmor Youth Cascade II Parka: Perfect for our kids...going to school, playing outside with friends, or going for a hike and it starts to rain. Would I take this to the Amazon jungle...no. But it's great for everyday kids wear from the bus stop to the state park.

Comments about Campmor Youth Cascade II Parka: I bought a YXL last year and it was big on me...5'3', 115 pound woman, but I wore it occasionally and it worked. I loved it so much that I decided to order down a size, YL, and it fits perfectly. Now I wear it everywhere because the fit is great. The price was right, also. Women's jackets were more expensive and this was a great price for a great jacket.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Campmor Youth Cascade II Parka: I bought this for our 4 year old daughter, she wears 5T. The youth XS is quite large on her. Fortunately the wrist have velcro, so are using it anyways and she doesn't mind. She will get at least two years out of it, so it a good deal. The green is a great color.

A:
I would recommend buying a little big with any rain shells so you can layer. I would definitely take this jacket along to the Grand Canyon. We plan on taking ours along on all camping & backpacking trips with our 7 year old - we do about 4-6 per year. You can't beat this price for what you get! Enjoy your trip!Q:
It always rains when we camp so I want my kids to have a good time and stay comfortable and dry.Is this a good enough jacket? I would also like to hand it down to my younger children in a year or two will this hold up?1 answer

This garment will hold up very well in a light rain. The jacket will eventually leak after an extended period of time in moderate to heavy rain.Q:
