Comments about Campmor Youth Cascade II Parka: kids outgrow clothes too fast to spend allot of cash on jackets. This is the best deal for youth outter-shell. We dress in layers and this jacket will be good for all 4 seasons. from yellowstone to heavy rains on the gulf coast.

Comments about Campmor Youth Cascade II Parka: We are a family of avid outdoorsmen: spending at least 20 weekends+ per year in the woods. This jacket has served us well. It is not 100% waterproof after 4 hours hiking in the rain but does well enough, especially for the price, that we are back at campmor to purchase the next sizes up. Not the performance of gortex, but also not the price of gortex. Thanks campmor for a good product

I would recommend buying a little big with any rain shells so you can layer. I would definitely take this jacket along to the Grand Canyon. We plan on taking ours along on all camping & backpacking trips with our 7 year old - we do about 4-6 per year. You can't beat this price for what you get!
