Cons Best Uses Comments about Yaktrax Walker Traction Device: These are a lifesaver, especially for those of us "of a certain age." They provide great traction on icy surfaces. Our dog especially appreciates that we wear them, since we'd be housebound for much of the winter without them. They're easy to put on and take off. One complaint - I wish that the sizes were marked on each of the yaktrax, so that pairs of different sizes were easily distinguishable from one another. Comments about Yaktrax Walker Traction Device: They were gifts, used as intended. Comments about Yaktrax Walker Traction Device: This is my fourth pair of Yaktrax. I walk in icy conditions and this product keeps me sure footed. Comments about Yaktrax Walker Traction Device: Very nice Comments about Yaktrax Walker Traction Device: Wonderful on icy sidewalks, especially when walking after a fresh dusting of snow when you can't see where the ice is. The ones with straps across the forefoot are better in that they're less likely to come off when kicking through deeper snow. These are a must for walking big dogs who are all excited over going out in the frost. Just take them off before coming into the house - they skid on tile, ding up wood and snag on carpeting. Comments about Yaktrax Walker Traction Device: I haven't had a chance to use them yet. That's bad bacause we haven't had any ice for ice fishing but good to lack of ice on sidewalks and parking lots. I purchased the Yaktraks to replace a pair that were not longer useable. These look sturdier and will probably provide better traction when walking on ice. Comments about Yaktrax Walker Traction Device: They lasted less than one day on a trail, the rubber on the bottom broke. They might work fine for walking on a snow packed or ice covered hard surface such as a drive way or sidewalk. But, if you are going to be on a trail or natural terrain don't waste your money. Go with other products who have chain across the entire bottom of the tread. It will be worth the extra weight and cost. Pros

Best Uses Comments about Yaktrax Walker Traction Device: Used this in the Grand Canyon hiking in Jan. There was snow and ice on steep trails. Worked well when there was some snow and dirt, but was marginal in packed ice patches. But for the price it's one of the cheapest options that performed well. Pros
