    Comments about Campmor Women's Cascade II Rain Parka:

    I was looking for cheap wet-weather gear, and snapped this up along with the Cascade II Rain Pants. I was swayed to buy this particular jacket because it appeared that the pockets would be inverted and open across the body: that is to say, that I could open the left pocket with my right hand and vice-versa, but that is not the case. This jacket is also ENORMOUS, which you'd think would be great for layering, but cycling layers are thin enough that I'd recommend you size down.

      Comments about Campmor Women's Cascade II Rain Parka:

      This jacket feels thru size, but ordered by accident a size medium, but I am a size small. After reading the review's I decided to buy it. I think the medium fits okay, because it has some room to breath. I have not dried it yet, because it is winter here with a lot of snow. Yes, it is a plastically feeling, but how else will it keep the rain of me. I have bought quite a few of rain jackets, but not with Campmor, this is my first one. Most of my jackets have been fallen apart after using them a few times, which also lost the part which I suppose to stay dry. I am so exited to use it.

          Looking for a light weight rain jacket? Look no further, Quality of product is the same as better name label that you would spend 2x the amount. I'm glad I shopped. Fits true to size got a large from reading reviews and should have stayed put with a medium.

          Comments about Campmor Women's Cascade II Rain Parka:

          I was surprised how light this jacket is. Upon receiving it I thought the material was a bit plastic-y, but after wearing it walking my dog in windy nights and rainy days I am convinced it's a great jacket for outdoor purposes. It's not very breathable and I noticed condensations on the inside of the jacket after I took it off, but it's not a big issue for me.

                I ordered the bright green XS colored jacket (I am 5'4" and 122 lbs.) and was glad I read previous reviews because it did run larger than usual. Overall, it fits nicely, keeps the rain off when I am running and is a bright color so I am more visible to passing traffic. The material is a little stiff but know that it will soften up with frequent use. Happy with this purchase.

                Comments about Campmor Women's Cascade II Rain Parka:

                I liked an older STYLE of Campmor's much better;
                don't care for the new placement of pockets, the collar, or the more tapered fit. (I wore the old one for over 10 yrs.)

                However, I think the coating (water-proofing) is
                much better.

                It's still an EXCEPTIONAL buy for the money & a
                very versatile jacket, & that's why I give it 4 stars.

                  How women's specific is the cut? I'm a man, I want the green color, and it looks to be a slimmer cut than the men's, which appeals to me. Is there extra room through the bust that I'll regret? I mean will it be obvious to everyone that I have a women's jacket on?

                    Since this is a women's jacket the size L for instance will be like a men's M. The taper at the waist is tighter than a man's. The room at the bust line is not something that will be that obvious.

                    I just got it today delivered. I am a size small, but ordered a size medium, because the summer nights are pretty hot, and this way I got some room to have some airflow, and yes it is to big, but as mentioned before; this way there is some airflow going around. After reading all the review; order your normal size, but by just looking at the Parka it looked kind of small. I have not wore the jacket yet, because it is winter here, with a lot of snow, but I am getting ready for spring.
