Comments about Campmor Women's Cascade II Rain Pants - 30" Inseam: Bought these to wear in the rain while walking the dog. Passed that test, but it was not a torrential downpour. Thought with the plastic lining, they'd been more windproof than they are. Fit over jeans. Could have used smaller size in eveything except waistband. Elastic ankles are main reason I bought this pair. I'm short so I need the elastic to keep pants from being too long.

Comments about Campmor Women's Cascade II Rain Pants - 30" Inseam: We used these pants while backpacking as an outer layer over a thermal liner plus fleece layer. They kept the heat in and wind out so we were very warm. However, it is important to remove them if you stay too warm for an extended period of time as the moisture will bead up and make your clothes wet. They are light weight.

Comments about Campmor Women's Cascade II Rain Pants - 30" Inseam: I purchased these pants for a 23 day boating trip on the Colorado River thru the Grand Canyon. I needed something that would be durable and protect me from cold water splashes while in a raft. These were economical and worked well. Held up to a lot of use. My only complaint is that they don't breathe well. We did a night float on the last slow 40 miles. I needed an extra layer for the cool night air. Could not use these pants for that cause they sweated.

Zips up to mid calf. Opens the leg bottom. This opening will make it convenient to pull pants on over light hikers, but not so easy over heavy stiff hiking boots.Answered on 1/5/2012 by Steve from Campmor
