If you look closely at the Vibram FiveFingers size chart, you will notice that the numbers printed across the top of the chart refer to your foot's length in inches, NOT US size. Vibram found that, due to the precise nature of the FiveFingers fit, the most accurate size translation was in inches, not US shoe size (which varies across brands and styles). ***Please measure both feet from heel to longest toe with a ruler in inches and refer to the size chart next to the size pull-down menu for the right size***

The Bikila is Vibram's first model designed especially for a more natural running experience. FiveFingers built the Bikila on a new platform, offering a polyurethane insole (thickest under the forefoot) and an anatomical pod outsole design that offers more plating protection, and distributes forefoot impact without sacrificing important ground feel, essential to a proper forefoot strike running gait.Bikila is most suited for running & fitness.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Vibram Fivefingers Men's Bikila: The idea is great for those who have feet of a certain dimension. Not so much for those who aren't cookie cutter. Advise trying on in brick and mortar store before ordering.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Vibram Fivefingers Men's Bikila: I am an avid bike rider, riding 3,000 each summer but also enjoy taking my beagle for long walks of two or three miles. I love the feeling of walking barefoot, but it's really not that safe or sanitary on the roads around town. These "shoes" are the perfect solution. It did take me a while to get used to how snug they were, but they did stretch out after a while (as I was told they would) and that's the preferred fitting. You really do not want these to be a loose fit.

Best Uses Comments about Vibram Fivefingers Men's Bikila: I haven't been able to run more than a few miles a month over the past 3 years bacause of shin splints and hip pain, but after a short break in period wearing these shoes I can run several miles a week (typically 3-4 miles a day 3 times a week). Yes I would recommend these to a friend. They are great, a little pricey, but i would pay 5 times the amount I paid for these just to be able to run again. My feet hurt like crazy when i first started wearing these shoes, because the muscles in my feet had become so weak from arch supports. Now my feet flex and work like they were meant to. I am not quite as fast yet, but I think that will come. Pros Cons

Comments about Vibram Fivefingers Men's Bikila: I just started using these shoes and they definately help you to run with proper form/technique. It takes a little while to get use to them and I wouldn't reccomend trying to run long distances at first. They are great runnin shoes however they don't make great cardio workout shoes (I would not suggest for using with plyo or other workouts that are side to side movements and jumping). Alos,they do not feel so good if you are jogging on areas with alot of large gravel/rocks. Comments about Vibram Fivefingers Men's Bikila: These shoes are awesome! I own the KSOs as well, but the Bakilas are definitely made for running. Comments about Vibram Fivefingers Men's Bikila: i love these. i haven't run much in them yet but i ran quite a distance twice in them already and both times they felt very comfortable and fast. Once you put them on you feel like going fast. If you have a different make of five fingers and are looking at getting these for running, get a size or 2 larger than what you would normally wear because these come a little smaller. I have KSO trek size 41 and they fit perfect and i ordered Bikila size 41 from here and my toes were so crunched because they were too small so i got size 43 and they fit fine. Pros

Comments about Vibram Fivefingers Men's Bikila: I had extremely high expectations for this shoe.[...] I was so excited for it arriving. I literally was a like a 5-year-old kid on Christmas eve. I went out for a 2.5 mile run the day they arrived and was very impressed! I didn't experience any blistering, chaffing, or anything. The comfort was superb. I ran in the dark on a fairly rough horse trail, which had some loose rocks in places. Even in the dark I had a very pleasant experience running on the trail and not knowing what I was going to step on. Once or twice I stepped on a rock, which was a little painful, but nothing that couldn't have been avoided in the day light. I am a very satisfied customer!
