I've used the bag for car camping a couple of times, and the bag works very well. It's a bit too large to use for long backpacking trips.

Great sleeping bag. I got the long version at first but decided it was too long for my needs, it would touch the walls of the tent. Packs fairly small, comfortable even in cold weather.

I bought three of these sleeping bags for our three 8-10 year old kids, after researching a few other alternative sleeping bags and nearly opting for the North Face Tigger (kids' sleeping bag). In the end the realization that the children would outgrow the Tigger at 5' prompted me to go with this bag. It is a little heavier than the Tigger, as you would expect of a longer bag, but represents great value and is still light enough to carry backpacking. It stashes easily into the stuff bag it comes with and is a great looking product. Yet to test it at its rated temperature, but I bought it with the expectation that it will typically be used for camping in warmer, summer conditions.

I bought this product to go on a 5 day adventure in the Pisgah National Forest in NC. When I received the item I was discouraged that it did not pack down as much as I would have liked. I had a compression sack that I used instead of the bulky stuff sack the bag came with but I still couldnt get it down to a reasonable size. other than that the bag worked great during our adventure slept in various weather conditions, cold, damp, wet/rain warm and I was comfortable. trip was in early April - temps ranged from 50-70 during the day and 30-50 during the night. I was more than warm at the lowest temp.

*I Would recommend to the car camper not the backpacker.

I'd compare this with bags in the 90$ range. Kept me warm and comfortable right down to the 20 degree rating. The problem here is there is no compression sack. So the money you saved will be spent on a compression sack. It is also narrow. I'm thin and a back sleeper so I never minded, anything above 6 ft and 170 lbs and you'll be very snug.

Mine was stolen and I didn't replace it. For the money I chose the Marmot Trestles. Who is really selling serious bags without compression sacks nowadays?
