I am interested in purchasing a zip boot, however, every time I find one to try on, I have trouble zipping the boot up. I seems my ankles are either too big or the boot does not have enough give or room to zip up. I wear a 11 1/2 shoe with a wide width, I went to a size 12 for boots. Do you have any thoughts about whether or not your boot would fit better, or should I stick to lace type boots ? What does the 200g thinsalate insulate mean? I want to use them for sitting at the football game in the winter and walking in the snow to and from. Also for shoveling walks and driveway this winter. Does it leak when wet on the upper leather or zipper? I wear a 10 1/2 or 11 WIDE. What size should I order? What if the shoe doesn't fit What charges do I encoure if I send them back? The molder rubber bottom is water proof the uppers are not water proof, though you can treat the uppers with a water proof treatment like nikwax. These are insulated with 200 grams of thinsulate insulation. The Cold Mountain is good down to -25 F, -32 CAnswered on 11/4/2011 by Steve from Campmor
