I've used this stuff for years and I think it's fantastic. It smells beeswaxy, too, which is a plus. Mostly I use it on leather but I've used it on unsealed wood and also really dry hands/feet, especially in the winter, or before working in the garden. I'm outside a lot but I also hand-sew and Sno-Seal is a great fingertip conditioner so thread and delicate fabrics won't snag on my skin.

Been using this product since 1975 and will use is as long as they make it and I can find it. Have used it on all my leather boots and some leather gloves. Just warm up your boots and then rub a good coat all over the leather then use a hair dryer to melt it into the leather and the use the same rag to rub the remainder smooth. Just not good on suede.

If your shoes were water proof because there was a water proof insert built into the shoe, and this insert is not longer keeping your feet dry then snowseal would create a temporary barrier to moisture, however this would wear away in very wet conditions.

We would suggest the Nikwax Fabric / Leather conditioner. It is better for the felt material of your boot.

Sno-Seal Original Beeswax would not be recommended for use on a car's interior vinyl.

Sno-seal would work very well water proofing a synthetic leather.
