It keeps my whole neck warm and helps to keep the wind from leaking down into my bike jersey and jacket. I should have been using this years ago. Comments about SmartWool Neck Gaiter: I love to run in these things when its cold out, The moisture builds up so your breath filters through it so your lungs dont get dry and your lungs dont burn, Best of all it is 100% wool so you dont feel wet or cold even when it is soaked on your face!..They fit really well and stretch too and if you need it warmer they fit right on top of eachother
