Cycling knee warmers are great for cycling on cool mornings or whenever the temp drops to the 60s but just don't work for walking ... They slide down when walking. Pros

Comments about SmartWool Knee Warmer: I bought these for cycling and was astounded at how well they work for me. They turn the wind well, seem to provide more warmth than their thickness would indicate, and work well when wet. They are so light you almost forget you have them on! My only complaint is that the top, where the elastic is, is frail and tends to unravel. My suggestion is to roll them over, pull them on and unroll the top into place when putting them on. This is the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. Pros

Comments about SmartWool Knee Warmer: I walk more then 9 miles a day for my work. These do not have any value for me. I had to buy thermals to wear and layer these on top to keep them from rolling down. Service and delivery comments: service and delivery were GREAT. Pros

Best Uses Comments about SmartWool Knee Warmer: I bought these for my husband. He has pretty scrawny legs, so I got him the S/M. Within about 5 minutes of putting them on, they had slid down past his knees. He thought maybe they were too small and that's why they fell. I tried them (I'm a small woman) and had the same problem. They're very warm and comfortable, but really can only be used as leg warmers, not knee warmers. Pros
