The material is stretchy and fits well. It doesn't fall down even after hours of wear. It's nice to be able to easily take them off and stow them in my bag after getting too warm. There are GREAT for those early morning starts when its cold but I know I'll be warm in five minutes and don't want to have to stop to take my pack off to remove a jacket. The best thing ever! In the past I've had to layer tops/sweaters in order to be comfortable only to have to remove then carry them most of the way once I warmed up. These arm warmers provide just the right adaption and if I get too warm, I just roll them down to my wrists. When we break, I just roll them back up if I get cold. No longer is my trunk too warm nor am I bothered with bulk! Pros

Comments about SmartWool Arm Warmer: I used these for a recent trip to a colder destination. It allowed me to pack lighter clothes and they were easy to take on/off when i went into museums. They kept me warm and were dressy enough to wear with 3/4 sleeve dresses and thin sweaters. I ordered the large because I am tall. They fit great, but I dont think they would fit a man's bicep. Pros
