Comments about Rocky Shoes and Boots Rocky Gore-Tex Socks: I use these for hiking in the snow, whether in regular trail-runners or with snowshoes on. No need for waterproof boots; just wear trail-runners with these underneath. Insulation sock under, another sock over, and you're good to go.

Best Uses Comments about Rocky Shoes and Boots Rocky Gore-Tex Socks: This is an update to my last post. This time I didn't wear booties. Ride is 13.1 miles one way. Started out in drizzle (55 degrees), then rain increased to downpour then back to moderate. Left foot was completely dry. However, right foot was completely soaked. No holes in socks but left shoe has hole in front & was completely dry.....don't understand why right foot was soaked.

Comments about Rocky Shoes and Boots Rocky Gore-Tex Socks: Great for cycling in rain. Careful not to pull on band when putting on & off. I will only hand wash once a season.

Best Uses Comments about Rocky Shoes and Boots Rocky Gore-Tex Socks: I have started using Rocky goretex socks as part of an ultralite winter footwear approach. Rather than wearing goretex trailrunners, I wear a minimalist trailrunner which is light enough to absorb little moisture in snow. The trailrunner provides protection for the Rocky sock -- which provides a complete membrane, uninterrupted by a tongue and lacing system. The sock protects a heavy wool sock, which stays dry and comfortable even in wet snow. Just make sure you buy the Rocky socks at least a full size bigger than your shoe size if you want to be able to get them on over a winter sock.

Comments about Rocky Shoes and Boots Rocky Gore-Tex Socks: tight to get on but work great. I wear them under work boots in damp and wet conditions around construction sites. No more cold wet feet for this guy.

Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Rocky Shoes and Boots Rocky Gore-Tex Socks: I work on a boat rain or shine. These socks keep my feet dry on rainy days, which keeps me warm throughout. I received size 10's...I usually wear 9-9 1/2. They fit great over a pair of regular socks.

Comments about Rocky Shoes and Boots Rocky Gore-Tex Socks: Kayaked last summer in Glacier Bay National Park, AK. There is nothing I can do about wet feet (sweating inside the dry suit) while on the water, but I wore TIVAs over neoprene booties in camp to keep my feet warm when walking in wet grass. The Gor-Tex socks over dry wool socks will hopefully allow me to keep my feet dry in camp. I have size 9 feet, ordered size 10, and they were still too small. Had to return for size 11.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Rocky Shoes and Boots Rocky Gore-Tex Socks: Good product but very hard to get on. Once on, the fit is fine. Need more elastic in the opening of the sock.
