I keep it in my camelback in case I get caught in the rain or need an extra wind barrier. I wouldn't buy it for warmth but for easy packing it is good.

Comments about Pearl Izumi ELITE Windproof Barrier Cycling Jacket for Men: I purchased the Elite Barrier to use on early to late spring and fall rides and I have not been disappointed. Recently, I rode 44 miles in temperatures that ranged from 39 degrees at the beginning and closer to 34 degrees at the end of the ride. With just a winter jersey layered underneath, I was able to stay warm and comfortable. The jacket is a is a semi-form fit jacket, which cuts down on drag but at the same time gives you plenty of room underneath for multiple layers of clothing. The material is very light and can be packed down small enough to fit into a back jersey pocket. This makes it a great piece when the weather becomes more transitional, cold mornings to hot afternoons. The jacket features mesh armpit vents, which when used with adjusting the front zipper, does a good job regulating body temperature. Only thing that kept me from rating this perfect is the flap on the back pocket which uses a small strip of velcro to keep it closed. While it is easily opened to gain access I found it difficult to secure the flap especially while riding. Pros

Colder than this temp, you may need something warmer, depending on how hard you are riding. The jacket is very lightweight and easily stuffs into a jersey pocket when not needed.
