If you are one of those folks who chaffe (gauld) on your inner thigs, near the crotch when you sweat when exercising, especially when you are hiking or doing other outdoor activities where you can't go in, shower and change to fresh clothing, this is for you. I have that problem, its a killer, but I tried a pair of these, cutting the legs off mid thigh, and I've worn them in the hottest summer months with not the first appearance of gaulding in weather that I would be doomed to gauld if wearing conventional underwear.
If you gauld, the idea of paying that price for a pair that you will mutilate by cutting the legs off might put you off... but I've been there, and I know the price is worth the preventive relief that they offer... And don't mistake these for the Patagonia boxer shorts. That won't help your gaulding like the silkweight bottoms do because these fit you like gloves.
