Comments about Stackpole Books How To Hike The AT - The Nitty Gritty Details of a Long Distance Trek:

The book is an easy read and I've marked pages for easier referencing. I would recommend this book for those who have an idea to do a through hike and want to get the details down. It has nitty gritty details for sure, but if you've done any hiking at all, its easier still to skip large sections of unnecessary details of trail prep. It is exhausting to read all in one go, but foolish not to read other people's experiences for the AT. It will make you better prepared for hiking this trail in one form or another.
