Have bought two and the reason I had to buy a second was because I had not secured the lower part of the pad into the seat area with the two buckle straps provided and it flipped open when I got up and landed on my backpacking stove which was on at the time. Melted a nice round hole in the cover and pad. A velcro fastener or a solid loop would be quicker to convert from chair to sleeping pad over the buckles. Thermorest suggests sticking in the back rest pocket, which I have not tried. Normally I cook to the side so it had not been a problem.

!Be sure that you have an inflatable mattress pad to use with this - otherwise it's useless to you!

I Use with NeoAir mattress pad and it is very comfortable. Different than a crazycreak chair - less firm support.

Saved my mattress pad from getting a hole in it (camp fire).
I give it an A!

Only con is that it's kind of a drag to set up and break down so that you can compact it all the way (just gotta remove the metal stays from the fabric before you put it in your pack).

This thing has transformed our backpacking trips, it is very very comfortable and turns your thermarest into a dual use item. The only complaint I would give it is that the straps for clipping it together after is is bundled up are not well thought out. They need to go sideways to the mat rather than longways because what idiot is going to take the trekker off the mat everytime for break down. Leave it on the mat, fold it up to the length of the stays then roll it so that the stays can be rolled up as well. Here you need horizontal straps to buckle it up. Oh and too many slits to put the mat in, just have one at the top with a zipper and done, like the exped.
