Comments about Extrasport Fox Mini 40 Whistle: This is a simple product it does wary it suppose to. I use whistles a lot in my job as a wilderness guide. It's small and it works every time no matter the conditions I'm in.

Q:
A New Zealand SAR team conducted extensive tests on whistles. First choice - the Storm whistle. A virtual tie with the Acme Thunderer. The Fox was not included in their test - maybe a NZ availabilty issue. Does anybody have any test data that includes the Fox? I used to have a Fox and a Thunderer - thought both were good - but lost them. The NZ test concluded that the Storm and Thunderer were audible at 400 metres in heavy brush. Way more than the competition. Any idea how the Fox compares? I would prefer the Acme - or Fox if it performs as well - simply due to the small size.1 answer
