I bought it for a June trip but wasn't able to go. I'll be using it in October and will know then but it's a coleman so that's good enough for me.

Comments about McNett Corporation Tentsure Fabric Recoat and Seam Sealer:

I used this to recoat the rainfly on my 14 year old Kelty tent. You have to remove the old flaky stuff. It was easy on my tent. I soaked it in unscented laundry detergent and it fell off. I only had to scrub it off in a few places. I set up my tent with the rainfly inside out. It only takes one coat. The next week-end and took it camping in a really heavy and windy rainstorm. It worked great! It didn't leak at all. Now I need to redo the floor on it and it will be like a new tent!

Comments about McNett Corporation Tentsure Fabric Recoat and Seam Sealer:

our ancient backpacking tent leaked quite a bit on my recent adventure. i put two thin coats of this stuff on the tent floor (outside) and the rain fly (inside). it feels like it did a great job, but i have not rain tested it yet.

we have a very small two person north face and i used 1.5 bottles.

tough to get the vestibule. for the second coat i thought to tie it off to some chairs.

Any recommendations on Tent Sure vs. Recoat 3 for a lot of volume- 2 tents (seams and floors) as well as the roof of a 10 x 20 carport used for camping. Or, is there another product that you would recommend?

Either of these products will work. You will get slightly more coverage from the Tent Sure.

It should be used in the inner side of the floor or in the outer side (the side that will be in contact with the ground) ?

To treat any seams, it is recommended to apply on the inside.

This is a liquid that you brush on to a fabric like nylon or polyester to waterproof it.
