Comments about Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Serrated Knife:

Most knives are shipped "sharpened" but not "too" sharp. Maker doesn't want to injure the end user. This knife can become truly sharp with a little work. Cuts seat belts, rope, just about anything with the right technique and leverage. Used to cut into aircraft "skin" when the need arises. Hammer end to break auto glass or drive in tent stakes.

This is the BEST knife I've ever bought! It has everything you need in a knife with it so you always have it on the go. The ONLY downfall (ans I don't mean to cut down Campmor.com) but you can get the knife at [...] for [$]. $10 cheaper.

Comments about Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Serrated Knife:

I picked this knife up to see if it really would live up to it's name. To my surprise it did. I really put this knfe to the test and it performed very well. The only thing I did not like was how soft the serraded edge is. I was able to remove several points just by splitting small wet wood to get to the dry center. I used the sharpener to staighten out the bent ones. The fire steel worked well. I field tested this knife as if my life depended on it and couldn't be more satisfied.

Comments about Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Serrated Knife:

I use this knife as the primary knife in my 24hour pack for Search and Rescue. Knife has a nice feel, fits with gloves, and is easy to find if you set in on the ground while doing something else because of the orange color. Sheath is nice, has a diamond stone built in as well as a flint (have not tried the flint) and the knife has a ground edge on the back of the blade for striking the flint saving the cutting edge. The hammer on the base of the handle is a nice feature which I am sure I will find a use for.

The Bear Grylls Ultimate Serrated Knife has a pressure sensitive blade catch that will release when pulled on. If not pulled on the knife will not come out of the sheath. There is also a Velcro around. the handle.

It's a rotten shame but it is made in china. It is made out of High carbon steel and i would much rather it be made of 440 steel but HCS works fine.
