It was kind of funny that here I was lifting weights and feeling strong and then struggling to open my water bottle! I thought I was missing some mechanism that released the top. I have to say after running them through the dishwasher it has gotten easier but still irksome. I guess the plus side is that they won't open unintentionally and flood my gym bag like my previous rubbermaid bottles. I don't know how some people say they have single handed operation. I must have tough batch.

I have a friend who is reluctant to give up disposable bottles because she works antiques and rummage sales at which she puts them in cargo pants pockets. Are these narrow enough to do that? I am thinking that if we buy a dozen or two for our congregation for our annual rummage sale and similar events, we could issue each staff person one for the day and run them through the (commercial) dishwasher each night, leaving them filled in the fridge for the next morning. I am trying like mad to break the bottled-water habit here.
