Comments about Nalgene HDPE Widemouth Loop Top 1 Quart BPA Free Bottle: I bought this water bottle maybe a year ago and i have taken it on every camping trip yet. i took it to west point and i got submerged in mud, stepped on, and dropped over and over and still has retained it's shape. on one trip i even dropped it off a cliff on accident. it has yet to crack, leak, or break and i am really happy with it.

These bottles are probably great - haven't used them yet; but they are much wider than I expected. They don't fit the bottle holders on the sides of our fanny packs. Maybe I should have known better, but I'm disappointed.

Comments about Nalgene HDPE Widemouth Loop Top 1 Quart BPA Free Bottle: I have noticed over the past year the new trend is toward the smaller mouth bottles. The downside of this is that they are more difficult to keep clean (at least for me). I use this brand of bottle as extra water storage bottles for my dogs. They carry them in their dog-packs along with their dog-bowls.

I have broken several, but only after 2+ years of daily freezing. I bought the original style this time, because I figured it would expand better when frozen without getting brittle and cracking.

Comments about Nalgene HDPE Widemouth Loop Top 1 Quart BPA Free Bottle: This bottle will fit well in a pack, is durable, and is cheap for a good quality nalgene. It is a good quarter gallon. It does not curve in like cheap plastic. One small thing is that the lid might come off if you hold it wrong but you can always put it back on.
