Ultra-lite and super compact, very durable, yet extremely comfortable. When used inside your sleeping bag the designs adds 3 to 5 degrees of warmth

I am a side sleeper. Hoped this would be solution to sliding off pad at night. Tubes had to be inflated too firmly or I bottomed out. Talk of bag lofting up in spaces is silly hype, so not going to be much between you and ground on cold night. Pros
Cons
Best Uses I am perplexed at the reviews of this product; I read them prior to purchase and made the decision to buy this product.... I am SO dissappointed. I am a regular guy, 5'10, athletic build, 185 lbs. There is no reason that I can think of why there are positive reviews other than the ridiculous weight savings - but the material they cut out to save the weight WAS NEEDED. I spent four extremely uncomfortable nights out on the trail dealing with this ridiculous example of "ingenuity" and I HIGHLY REGRET IT.DO NOT BUY THIS IS YOU ACTUALLY WANT A COMFORTABLE NIGHT SLEEP! I am very upset I wasted [$] on this!! Pros

Haven't spent the night on it yet but I think it'll do just fine. Packs really small. Blows up with just a few breaths. Like that it goes inside your sleeping bag, no rolling off. Can't wait to try it out soon! Pros

Just got this. I have to say I was a little skeptical at first. I did a little test and sure enough it inflated after 4 - 5 breaths (way easier that my other pad that takes a solid minute of inflating). I then used the included bulb pump to get a little more pressure in it. I set it on the concrete garage floor and it felt just as good, if not better than my full pad. It easily takes up less than a quarter of the space too. I am feeling a little better about this purchase now. Only reason its a 4 instead of 5 star is because I havent had a chance to use it on the trail yet. Pros

Took them out to BWCA couple of weeks ago and they preformed great. I've tried several pads before and the X frames worked the best. Look a little strange and my wife was skeptical, but after the trip she said they were the best compact pads she has used. Thought they might slide apart at night, not in our case. Strapped the frames together the first night, than decided to try without, couldn't tell the difference. I'm about 160# and wife, well big secret, but less than my weight. I considered other mats but for about the same price I bought these, and so far not disappointed. One did deflate unexpectedly one morning, couldn't find a hole in the pad, and decided it must have been the hand pump. Worked fine the rest of the trip. Weight with little hand pump is 10.6 oz. without is the 9.1 oz. Displaying reviews 1-7 |
