I bought this hat specifically for travel purposes; go to the Carribean quite a bit and like to sit on the beach w/out burning my scalp.
The hat is soft enough to crush down but crisp enough to pop back into shape; not sure how it will fare for several hours in a suitcase yet.
Though the hat is considered one size fits all, it is a tad big for my head; not big enough to return it but yet rather roomy that I could comfortably wear a bandana over my head under the hat.
