Comments about Coleman 4D XPS LED Duo Lantern: Very bright and the ability to have 2 mobile lights is great. The only concern I have is when re-attaching the lights to the base, it seems a little flimsy.

Q:
Does this lantern have a dimmer on it?1 answer
A:
The have remove able personal light panels which would be a lower light output, but it does not come with a dimmer.Q:
I noticed there is another version of this, the CPX. That provides an option of charging the base with four D batteries OR a Coleman CPX 6 Rechargeable Power Cartridge. Does this version have the same option to charge it both ways?1 answer
A:
The Coleman 4D XPS LED Duo Lantern will work with both the D batteries and the 6 volt rechargeable Coleman battery.Q:
How do you recharge the base? DO you plug it in or have to replace the batteries?1 answer
A:
The base can be recharged with the DC car adapter or the AC plug for your home outlet.Q:
Is the original battery for the station separate of the 2 lights batteries? So once they run out they can be placed back in and turned back on, and what to do when original battery power cell is depleted? Does it Recharge or do you have to buy a 6 V rechargeable pack from Coleman? Going hiking the AT and also want to know how durable the lantern is, can it hold up to a bit of banging?1 answer
A:
The base is where the batteries are. The 2 side lights that make up the lantern would, once separated from the base, last 1.5 hours. So the 2 removable lights are rechargeable, the base is not.
