I purchased this for my son who typically fits well into a medium width size 10 however I could not get his foot into the shoe because the bungy straps wouldn't open up enough for his foot. I am going to return this because he was complaining it was too tight even when we managed to wedge his foot in. We are using these to do some hiking out west in Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon and Estes Park, CO this summer and I can't deal with his shoe taking 5+ minutes to put on every time. Otherwise it seems like a great shoe! Probably more for narrow feet though.

The shoe tie prevents the shoe from opening up enough for a foot to fit through easily. The string is too short. I was tempted to cut it off and use regular shoe laces, but opted to return the pair.
