Comments about Lucky Bums Kid's Velcro Gaiter: These are fantastic for snow. They do need to come up with a better ankle and under shoe strapping, does not sinch up around the base of the gator enough. Durable and easy to put on over boots. Helps keep legs and feet warm and dry.

Comments about Lucky Bums Kid's Velcro Gaiter: As life long gaiter user, these are exactly what I wanted for my young daughter. At five and gear savy still can't get them all the way on by herself yet but is working at it. The one thing stopping these from getting 5 stars is the under boot strap. It is very wide and on a little pair of boots or shoes these straps get stepped on all day. How long will the straps last is the question.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Lucky Bums Kid's Velcro Gaiter: This was purchased for my 9-year-old son. One of the top snaps does not work, but the velcro is sufficient to keep it on.

Comments about Lucky Bums Kid's Velcro Gaiter: These are a little big for my 5yr. old but still work great. I think he will get to use them next year as well.

Comments about Lucky Bums Kid's Velcro Gaiter: These would probably be adequate for a short, stocky child. Since my son is tall and thin, the gaiters were too short to go over the calf and so wide they kept slipping down. The velcro attachment at the bottom of the shoe would not stay attached. Also the front hook kept coming loose from the boot laces until I wove it under the laces. While they kept the snow out of my son's boots, we had to constantly readjust them. I think I would have been better off with a small adult size pair. Pros

Comments about Lucky Bums Kid's Velcro Gaiter: This is a great classic boot gaiter, have taken my son out a few times this year in the snow and they have worked great Displaying reviews 1-7 |

Q:
My son is 3-1/2 years old, wears size 10.5 hiking boots. We are primarily concerned with keeping the rain from running into his boots when he is in our backpack (his rain pants hike up on his leg, and rain runs down those pants and into his boots.) I am wondering which is going to function better, this Lucky Bums or the Threshold Gaiter: Sizing, waterproofing, function. Thanks! Rich1 answer
A:
The Lucky Bums would work better than the Threshold Gaiter as it provides a better fit.
