Comments about Terramar Thermawool Balaclava: Thin but warm, breathes well, fits well under helmet. The opening is a little smaller than I was expecting, but it is not uncomfortably tight--Someone with a larger head may have issues.

Best Uses Comments about Terramar Thermawool Balaclava: When the Balaclava arrived it had a fairly strong chemical smell, which got better after washing it, but it did persist (only washed it once). It feels itchy and there is a seam in the front, running down the centre. This is quite irritating on the mouth and the adam's apple. I only wore it for about 20 minutes, then i figured it wouldn't get more comfortable. unfortunately that is all the wear it will ever get.

Provides extra warmth for your head while protecting your face, ears, nose and throat. Tucks snugly into your other clothing; extremely light weight and comfortable, dries quickly.

I wanted one that I could either pull down under my chin or pull up-- this one can't be pulled down, so you have to breathe through it. It also came in too close on the sides of my eyes. The Outdoor Research Ninjaclava was more what I was looking for.
