Comments about Exped DownMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump:

Certainly a huge difference in warmth then other pads.
I used to use two pads, a Thermarest inflatable and a Thermarest closed cell foam. This one pad replaced both and did a better job.
One needs to be patient however, the pump is great in that it prevents breathing into the pad which creates moisture buildup in the pad, however, it does take a while to inflate it.
Its a excellent insulator, and so far none of my Exped pads have holes.
I took a star away because I want Exped to continue innovating the hand pump.
These down pads are the best currently on the market for cold weather camping.

Comments about Exped DownMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump:

Did a 28* overnight just to test things and the pad kept my torso warmer than my Big Agnes 15* bag. Holds air well; 4 days no deflation. Easy to inflate although the last step takes a little work to learn; filling the pump area.

Comments about Exped DownMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump:

I bought this pad as a gift for my wife on a backpacking trip and she loved it. She inflated it easily while I was huffing and puffing into my Big Agnes. It packs away with no trouble, I do wish it was a little smaller when packed. I've thought about trying a different stuff sack but that's really not a bid thing for the pay off.

Comments about Exped DownMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump:

After watching the videos on line it helped to learn how to use it. When at high altitude it was easy to inflate because you did not have to use your lungs to inflate it. I also bought the big agness from campmor. It was as comfortable. When you add a z rest underneath it might be more comfortable than my bed. Used it for 7 days no problems.

A pump is included and you would need to use the pump to inflate the mattress.

          • Q:

Most of the other Exped Pump mats include a stuff sack and field repair kit. The ad doesn't mention this specifically for this mat. Does it come with the sack and repair kit?
