Comments about Exped SynMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump: it seems to leak and makes weird squeaky noise when leaking. definitely a good sleepy pad though. it is my portable sleep number bed!

Comments about Exped SynMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump: This is the largest size they make but it was worth the extra weight to fully support me. Inflation/deflation was easy, even in the cold, IF you follow the instructions supplied. A little heavy, yes, just a little slippery, yes, worth it to get one of the best night's sleep I have ever had on the AT, especially at night temps just around 32degrees. A minimalist could get one of the smaller versions but us "older/aching" guys need a bit more comfort. Money well spent.

Comments about Exped SynMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump: While I have not had time to use this pad extensively, I have found it very useful for small trips to visit family, and for guests around home. I have no doubt it will serve me just as well on an upcoming backpacking trip just as well. It does take some practice to be able to pack it small enough to fit back in the stuff sack, but it's definitely doable. Also, it can seem to take a while to inflate, but once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. Overall, I'm very happy with my choice.

Comments about Exped SynMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump: Wow, this thing is awesome. I have had self-inflating ones for years and battery inflatables for car camping. This is the best of both! Packs small, weighs nothing, inflates pretty easy. Although I looked at it like an idiot when I first tried to inflate it. Follow the instructions about letting it lay for a day before inflating, it really helps the internal pump. Add a nice closed cell pad underneath for super warmth and comfort! A+ Worth the money!

Comments about Exped SynMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump: I convinced my wife to spend the extra money to get this pad so she will agree to go camping more than just once. It inflates with an integrated hand pump so you don't get the slimy, out-of-breath thing. It is much thicker than older generations of pads, and it packs up smaller, too. Highly recommended luxury pad!

Comments about Exped SynMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump: I used my Exped Synmat LW on a 7 day car-camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in the summer. I paired it with a Big Agnes sleeping bag.

Comments about Exped SynMat 7 Sleeping Pad with Pump: prefer the inflation system, compared to Expeds downmat 7, but it is not as wide as the down7 mat.
