Comments about Outdoor Research Aurora Bivy: I enjoyed the bivy sac. I would definitely use it again. Does exactly what it is suppose to do while backpacking. However i came across 2 things. One i had water build up at the end of the bivy sac and on my sleeping bag. Most likely from condensation and/or from the dew because it didn't rain that night. Second, the flap to look at the stars kept falling over the bug net each time i moved. other than that, i really enjoyed it.

Comments about Outdoor Research Aurora Bivy: Great for camping when weight and pack space are limited. Has netting at the head to keep bugs outside. Claustrophobics should use a tent. Body moisture gets trapped inside and soaks the sleeping bag.

Outdoor Research Aurora Bivy does not have any insulation. It would keep snow off the bag to keep the sleeping bag dry, however you will need to have a warm sleeping bag for the temperatures you will be in.Answered on 12/7/2011 by Steve from Campmor
