My wife uses it to carry her laundry up and down the stairs in our house. She can let it slide down the stairs and then uses the strap/handle to carry it up.

We protect our 3500 cc backpacks and hikng boots when we travel by air. Packs slip in easily and there is probably room for up to 4500 cc. These bags are very durable and can be folded up and placed in the pack after you arrive. After an exhaustive search, I came to the conclusion that this is the very best solution for airline travel when all you have is a backpack that cannot be carried on the plane (due to knives, poles, and other objects that won't pass security).
