Q:
I'm a large guy (6'3" tall, about 260 with a 42" waist). I used to hike a ton years ago and all I owned was kelty. Do you think this is a good long term trip pack for a guy my size? if not what would be?1 answer
A:
You probably have a torso length that falls in the M-L range with a measure of 17.5"-21". The hip belt would work well on your 42" waist. At 5600 cubic inches you should be able to pack a week without resupply.Q:
Can you recommend a rain cover with this backpack or does it even need one?1 answer
A:
Item # 91334, the Outdoor Research Lightweight Pack Cover XL would fit 5,000 cubic inches and above. This pack runs 5600 cubic inches, so it will fit.Q:

A:
Waist range for the Kelty Red Cloud 90 Internal Frame PackQ:
I am planning a 3-month trip through Europe in winter, so I need carrying capacity. I am a 5'4 woman with a long torso and slim, somewhat boyish figure (tho I do have hips), and I will be getting the s/m size. I'm wondering about comparisons between this and the woman-specific pack. The woman-specific one has less capacity, so I'm leaning towards this for the same price. What features does the woman's one have that might benefit me, or would I be fine getting this one? Might this be too big for me?1 answer
A:
As long as both packs the women's specific and this pack you fall withing the torso length range the suspension will work. The women's Specific pack has a canted hip belt to better fit women's hips and the shoulder harness is designed to accommodate women better than a unisex pack.Q:
I am 5ft 11in, but I have a small waist size. My waist size is only 31/32. Should I purchase the small/medium or medium/large?1 answer
A:
To determine the proper fit first measure your torso length:Q:
On this backpack is there is a slit/slot between the main compartment and the lower sleeping bag compartment, for a place to slide longer tent poles/fishing rod through?1 answer
A:
The divider between the top compartment and the sleeping bag compartment is toggled, which allows for a pass through to put longer items into the pack and still use the divider.| Size | S-M: L 35" x W 18" x D 16", M-L: L 35" x W 18" x D 16" |
