Took the produck outside to test a stove. It was about 29 degrees, after the meal was cooked I took the spoon out of my pocket and opened it up. It immediately snapped one of the hinges.
But a spork , gring the points sightly and it is better than wasting your money on this.

if one of the 2 compressed fittings breaks the spoon will fall apart. Pass this one up!!

I love things that are designed well. This "plasticware" is. Light, compact. I use them with my packed food everyday for work. It's got a nice simple fixture to stay open. Only complaint is that it's a bit longer (about an inch or so) than a normal spoon. The same goes with the fork. I have small hands and don't need the extra length. But then again, that might be a bonus for cooking whilst camping.

My son used it every night during his scout troop's summer camp. He'll eat off the plates but won't use the flatware. Go figure????

my husband wanted this type of camp cutlery because he has non metal camp plates and bowls. he will be able to pack everything together without his spoon scratching his plate and bowl.

My favorite spoon so far. Easy to clean....unlike many other folding spoons. Reaches bottom of "freeze dried dinner" bag, folds and fits into my boil pot. Hinge design is strong and appears will be reliable...has held up on many trips.
