Best Uses Comments about Timex Basic Pedometer: I wore a pedometer, and bought this as a replacement when it broke. I was surprised at how totally inaccurate it was. I walked 100 step, and came out with numbers from 150 to 200. I wore it on my belt, the same place as my last one. Right now it sits on the shelf, useless, I wouldn't trust any number I saw.

Comments about Timex Basic Pedometer: Once calibrated, the accuracy is surprisingly good on the trail. It's resolved location disputes between me and hiking partners. This is my second. I lost the first when it came off my sternum strap due to anemic clip holding power. I added a safety lanyard to the second one which has prevented it from silently dropping off.
