MSR Autoflow Gravity Replacement Cartridge

Item #: 88125

Our Price: $54.95

A small, lightweight replacement cartridge for the MSR AutoFlow Gravity Filter. Because the filter uses Hollow Fiber Technology, where fibers are somewhat more brittle than traditional filter materials, it's recommended to pack a spare cartridge on longer trips. This is not compatible with the MSR HyperFlow Microfilter.
  • Dimenstions: 1.5 in x 5.75 in (3.8 cm x 14.6 cm)
  • Wt. 13.8 oz (392 g)
  • Hollow fiber filters to .2 micron
  • Replacement cartridge for MSR Autoflow filter
  • not compatible with the MSR HyperFlow Microfilter

Comments about MSR Autoflow Gravity Replacement Cartridge:

you (and I) have to remember to keep it from freezing, that's why I'm buying a replacement filter. But it is a very convenient way to make drinkable water.

Comments about MSR Autoflow Gravity Replacement Cartridge:

It worked well when we camped a few hundred yards from water. We could pick up a whole gallon in the bag and bring it back to camp, rather than sit in the hole and pump.

Used on a river trip two years in a row. Saw one someone else had. I have another gravity flow filter, I like this one better.

Comments about MSR Autoflow Gravity Replacement Cartridge:

Purchased this as a backup for a kayak trip 700 miles from home. This MSR filtering system is super easy to use, no pumping, no effort, just scoop up a bag of water, hang the system up and use as needed. Have used on several trips (5) with no issues.

Comments about MSR Autoflow Gravity Replacement Cartridge:

Sometimes it is just difficult to crouch by a creek and keep the filer intake out of the silt, pump the pump etc.
This works well because you can dip the water from the source, fill up the bag and let gravity pull it through the filter. You can even store the water in the bag around camp. I always used a pleated paper filter when hiking and this works just as well with less effort.

                A:

essentially these are the same filter cartridges. The Autoflow cartridge has the same diameter attachment points on it as the platypus has.
