Comments about Coghlan's Sight-Grid Signal Mirror: It works as advertised. You look through the sight and see a flash, put the flash on your target wallah! Nice and compact also useful as a simple mirror to get that speck out of your eye. It uses Glass (the best reflector). Add a paracord lanyard to top it off. Made in Japan.

Comments about Coghlan's Sight-Grid Signal Mirror: This mirror is manufactured in Japan by "Vector 1" and marketed through Coghlan's. It is made to military standards and unlike most mirrors available it actually has a glass mirror that offers 100% reflectivity unlike the other plastic mirrors that are out there. The glass is encased by a plastic frame and hard foam backing that also lets the mirror float. Optimum size to have is 4"X 5" but that is not practical for most. This 2"X 3" weighs only 2ozs. and has a maximum effective range of between 2 and 5 miles. Not to say it can't be seen further under extremely ideal conditions that may be present one day each year. The package states up to 25 miles but you can count on 2 to 5 miles from my own tests. At this price point you have no excuse not to have one of these with your gear.
