Comments about Timex New Ironman Rubber Band:

This band fit my women's Timex Ironman, but the rubber is bulkier in some places than the original Timex band, so it was quite difficult to fit on the watch. I was happy with the band for two weeks, but then one pin broke through the rubber that holds the band in place. This break may have happened because the imperfect fit was putting too much stress on the area. It is not worth it to purchase a watch band that will break so quickly.

Surgery Was Needed To Get It To Fit

Comments about Timex New Ironman Rubber Band:

I had to use the pins from the previous watchband because what came with this one was too short for my watch. In addition, I had to shave some of the rubber away from where the pins meet the watch because it was interfering with watchband motion causing the pins to pop out and the watch to fall off my wrist. The end of the watchband where it meets the watch also needed to be trimmed away to allow free movement of the watch and watchband and minimize the potential for popping off my wrist.

Overall construction of the watchband is more robust than previous watchbands I've received and should last a lot longer, so that is a huge positive.

Is this watch band a replacement for the Timex Helix watch? I bought this watch from Compmor several years ago and I can't use it because my band has broken. On the revese of my watch appear these letters and symbols A_B_T. Timex tells me the model number for my watch is 47661. Thank you.

This band will fit the watch if it has a 16 mm attachment.

        • Q:

I bought a Timex Digital Expedition Compass watch from Campmor a couple of years ago. The rubber band comes off by unscrewing two small screws accessed from the outside of the band rather than the conventional method (a spring loaded pin held by a loop on the end of the band which pops into place between the indentations on the "bracket" extending from the watch). I need a new band. Will this one work?

          Thanks,
          Neil

You would have to measure the opening for the band on the side of the watch face.

Two questions. First, how do I know what size band I need? I have a woman's Ironman with a pink button and pink frame around the face. Second. How difficult is it to replace the band? Are special tools required? Thank you.

The pin is the piece that holds the wrist strap to the watch housing.
