Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket Stove: I used this product backpacking. I've never had the pleasure of (or pocketbook for) using any of the pricier brands but, they must take the food out of the bag for you or something cause I don't know how you could improve on the Pocket Rocket. WHAT I DO KNOW is that the Pocket Rocket is a masterpiece! I could not ask more for such a lightweight piece of gear. It is designed well, and performs just as you would ask it. The temperature control will make it purr like a kitten or growl like the afterburner of a fighter plane (and anywhere in between). The hard case protects it and makes a ridiculously small footprint in your bag. Excellent design! Pros

Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket Stove: This was a gift at Christmas. I camp with the Boy Scouts and was always having to use someone else's stove now I have my own. I really like the stove as it comes with a nice compact container so the apparatus doesn't get lost or broken and it's not bulky.

Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket Stove: I would actually give this stove a 4.6 rating out of 5. Though a bit unstable, the small size and light weight more than make up for this drawback. One more thing: It's like having a frickin' jet engine to set a pot on! I avoided getting a stove like this for years, and now I'm kicking myself in the rear for not getting one sooner!

Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket Stove: I only listed "Unstable" as a con because with only 3 supports this is a minor, and I do mean minor drawback. For the minimal weight and size of the burner (including the fuel cannister), and the power it puts out, this thing is wonderful! It's like a propane blowtorch in your backpack for cooking. Seriously, if you needed to sweat some copper pipe fittings, this baby could do the job! Again, if it were a little more stable, it would easily be a 5.

Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket Stove: It works for what it is intended for. It does not have an ignitor like a Brunton, but is it will still boil water in a few minutes.

Comments about MSR Pocket Rocket Stove: This is yet another MSR stove I have added to my back packing gear. It is a nice light stove when weight is a factor. I recently brought it along with my MSR dragonfly on a canoe trip and was able to use two burners for some nice back country meals
