Comments about Coghlan's Four Function Whistle:

We used these in our summer camp for elementary-age children in an "Explore the Great Outdoors" camp. The kids loved them. The whistles are loud, the kids learned to use the compass, the weather was hot (98 degrees--the kids checked), and a magnifier is always good to look at bugs, bark, and rocks. This is a most useful item.

Comments about Coghlan's Four Function Whistle:

I am teaching my granskids how to walk a straight line through the woods and get to some place on the map they wanted to go by following a berring. No GPS but that would be nice also.

Comments about Coghlan's Four Function Whistle:

I have purchased a few of these to use when I go camping or hiking. Luckily I have not needed to use the emergency whistle yet, but the compass and magnifiery are very useful.

[...] I made the mistake of trying this while in my bathroom. This is one very loud, shrill whistle. A handy gadget to have on a hike/backpack trip.

              A:

The thermometer is not a scientific instrument but will provide reasonably accurate readings. The thermometer measures in both F and C. The increments are 10 degree in C and 20 degree in F.
