Comments about Timex 30-Lap Ironman Shock Watch: I use the Ironman as my beater watch and this is my 3rd one. The products are great and last very well for the money. This is my first Shock model and it is a little thicker than I would prefer, but still very comfortable. The band has been improved so that the band holder now stays hooked, which is a great improvement. Very nice watch and a great value.

I prefer this strap to a velcro one but the strap end holder is difficult to get unhooked sometimes and can pinch the tender skin of the wrist. Overall I will get another in a few years when this one dies!

Best Uses Comments about Timex 30-Lap Ironman Shock Watch: I own two of the Ironman Shock Watches, along with eight of the regular 30 Lap Ironmans (plus a few Expeditons that my wife uses). The two Shock Watches get extensive use underwater, (including during Ice Diving), while they have never fogged or flooded (nor have any of the "regular" 30 Lap Ironmans or even Expedition models). The watches I use exclusively for diving are actually tie-wrapped to the inflator assemblies on Scuba BCD's (so they cannot fall off) and are in the water during pool training sessions, PADI Open Water Training Dives, along with numerous recreational dives to depths over 100'. Love the size of the displays, which are easy to read at depth and in low light. The regular 30 Lap Ironmans also work well for diving but, these old eyes appreciate the larger display on the Shock Watch version. The extra nub on the adjustable rubber wrist band keeps the watches in place. A bit thick for under a dress shirt cuff.

This one took on water (got cloudy)after my first swim with it and was fried by a 20 meter scuba dive the next day. The watch is supposed to be water resistant to 200 meters. Pros

The major difference between a Timex 30-Lap Ironman Shock Watch and a Times 10 Lap is 20 laps and the 10 lap is not a shock watch so it would not handle banging around as much as the shock watch..
