The Maxim equinox rope is designed to be a versatile light rope. Whether on shorter sport climbs or longer multi-pitch routes, the equinox is an excellent choice thanks to its excellent knotability and easy clipping. This rope is made using Maxim's Endura Dry Treatment. The core fibers of the rope are dry treated before the rope is made to reduce the internal friction in the rope (causes invisible wear) and give a water repellant coating that is second only to the double treated ropes.

Have a nice 70m dry for trad that I was abusing on single pitch and top rope climbs. This Equinox now fills those roles. It has low strectch relatively speaking. It worked well the couple of outings used before this review.

Good rope for the price and it gets the job done. It does kink a little more than I would like, but that's to be expected with the price. Doesn't have quite dynamic elongation as other ropes either.
