Comments about Texsport Single Burner Propane Stove: The tank required us to modify a wire coat hanger to create a support to stabilize it, but otherwise, a good purchase.

Comments about Texsport Single Burner Propane Stove: I do some remote camping in Alaska as part of my job. Weight isn't usually an issue where gear is concerned, but you cannot fly on a commercial plane with camping fuel. This worked very well for me, as I was able to buy propane (way cheaper than other types) locally after the flight and then transport it to our remote site. Sure, the bottle is at a weird angle, but I propped it up with a couple sticks or rocks and had no trouble cooking on it.

Comments about Texsport Single Burner Propane Stove: I read the reviews and gave this as a gift for when the power goes out. They had used a little candle stove to heat up water, but that took a long time. So, I chose this little stove. As per other reviews, I told them that it can be unstable. I'm sure they will love it when they need to use it!

Comments about Texsport Single Burner Propane Stove: Seems a decent burner for the price. Burns hot. The knob bounces back to a higher flame when you try to turn it way down. The main problem is that the propane cannister is at an angle, and this means that unless there's a heavy pot on the burner, it tips over. Doesn't seem safe, although I rigged up a little prop for the cannister. I'm not certain how well made the unit is. The actual burner seems to have been hit and is not parallel with the surrounding surface.

Comments about Texsport Single Burner Propane Stove: I used this single burner stove on a camping trip with my daughters in the Adirondacks. It lit easily, although we really didn't have any wind. We used it to cook each evening and to boil water for tea and oatmeal every morning. We had it adjusted so the propane bottle rested on the table, otherwise it would tip unless you had a pan on it. That was not really a problem for us. Worked great!

Comments about Texsport Single Burner Propane Stove: The stoves preformed well and the price was good. Stove comes with removable little plastic feet and they're easy to lose. Be sure to glue the feet on your stove. [...]. It fits any size pan unlike some dual burners. The stove is not stable because the propane tank hangs off one end. The lack of stability requires you to use it on a flat surface and keep a pan on it to weigh it down. It's certainly not ultralight weight, but it could be used for backpacking in a pinch. Overall it's decent for the price and we're satisfied.

Comments about Texsport Single Burner Propane Stove: Someone said it was tippy so I fashioned a simple support for the leaning gas cylinder. I cut a V in a piece of wood and propped it between the neck of the gas cylinder and the table. Once you've got your pot on the stove, though, I didn't really need it. This little unit was perfect for a road trip in a rental car and it packed easily in my checked airline luggage. And the Coleman cylinders were cheap and widely available.

You would have to contact the manufacturer for parts for this item.Q:
Can I fix this to a standard propane tank like the kind a larg BBQ takes1 answer
A:
Yes and no. By itself the pressure of an 11 Lb BBQ propane tank would not work. However you can get a bulk tank extension line like item # 52504 and this will give you the proper attachment to utilize an 11 Lb bulk tank.| Weight w/o Fuel | 2.2 Lb 1 kg |
