- Modulator Vermillion: A state-of-the-art, high contrast, light-sensitive lens that changes lens tint density with the changing light conditions. The brighter the sun light exposed to the lens, the darker the lens will become. This lens is good for night conditions, snowy days to partly cloudy, even bright sunny days. The % of visible light transmitted changes from 66% to 26%.

Comments about Bolle X9 OTG Modulator Ski Goggles: Got these on sale, and for the money, they are great and the modulator lens does a good job in various light levels. My only gripe is that the scratch resistance is average...wish they were more scratch resistant.

Comments about Bolle X9 OTG Modulator Ski Goggles: Overall this product was great the only cons were that they didnt seem like they were truly designed for glasses.When you take them off they seem like they are designed to take your glasses with them. They also fog up your glasses if you get a little warm from the activity that you would be doing in them especially with a ski mask on.

Q:
When you specify a lens length, do you measure it using a flexible measuring tape and follow the curvature of the lens or use a stiff ruler or a similar device, line up the 0 of the ruler with the left corner of the lens (ALL DONE IN THE FRONT VIEW !) and line up the right corner of the lens with the ruler numbers along a line perpendicular to the ruler? Or to put it simply, do you use a vernier caliper to read the lens length?

There is lens height which is the overall height of the lens and lens width is measured with a tape measure following the curve of the lens. The frame width is measured straight across the back of the frame inside edge to inside edge.Answered on 3/19/2013 by Steve from Campmor
