Comments about Coleman Exponent Outfitter Stainless Steel Cook Kit: I was looking for a set of Stainless Steels pans in this size that I could afford. I got that and more. It would be nice if the wire handles locked in place. I just use a small binder clip to hold them together. I am used to cooking with stainless and I find these easy to clean. If there is any thing stuck on I just use a dash of Bar Keepers Friend. I use these pots on the fire and the stove and I have had no problems. I love that the handles lock on the large pans.

Nice features include being able to cook using the pan or the lid (the lid is designed with handles for cooking). The extra pans/lids work well as extra bowls/dishes. The three pans nest together for tight packing. I love cooking with stainless and this is a great set.

Because they do not lock into place they can flip in and out of position and it can be troublesome to deploy them when the pan is tucked into some burning embers on the campfire. Overall though this is a decent set.

This set of pans are actually better quality then expected. They are compact and we have been able to remove a couple of items from our chuck box. I am happy with this product. The lids are deep enough to double as small bowls or small fry pans if needed.

1.) The fry pans will work with their respective pots

Wood will carbon coat the outside of the pot. That said I have used wood fires with these pots, just need to keep attentive to prevent food from sticking to the bottom on a hot fire.Answered on 9/19/2011 by Steve from Campmor
