Comments about Ledmark Large Outback Duffel: The canvas and zippers are tough and the duffel withstood TSA baggage handlers with no visible wear. The strap is held on by quick release buckles that won't hold a 50lb load. A bag this size needs grab handles on the ends. For the price it's OK for car camping or protecting a pack when flying.

Comments about Ledmark Large Outback Duffel: This bag was used to carry our scuba gear to Grand Cayman. It was checked baggage. And transferred twice. On arrival the bag still looked brand new.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Ledmark Large Outback Duffel: Uniquely deep bag for it's size. Bigger than the rest on Campmor's site and a good price, but maybe too much depth for the length and width of the bag and straps. would still have plenty of capacity if normal depth. Still, always useful to have a big duffel.

Comments about Ledmark Large Outback Duffel: Reviewed a lot of duffles before buying this and the x-large. Both arrived exactly as stated and I am pleased. Quality is excellent, wide strap, solid metal zipper (also wide). And solid fabric material. Best large duffle on the market hands down (been to Lands End, LLbean, Northface, etc.)

Comments about Ledmark Large Outback Duffel: Big and roomy. I managed to get my rolled up mummy sack and a Thermarest as well as all my clothes, shoes, and toiletries in it for an overnight benefit walk. Still had plenty of room!
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Ledmark Large Outback Duffel: I wanted a large storage duffle to hold my family sized tent, a tarp and the general necessities for initial camp set up. This large duffle suits that to a tee. Construction is heavy duty canvas with zippers to match. Carrying handles and straps are also constructed with the objective in mind to hold considerable weight.

Comments about Ledmark Large Outback Duffel: This bag is great for that camping trip. It holds my sleeping bag, tent, mattress, and more. I use it for traveling.

Q:
how do you wash or clean trunk1 answer
A:
Wash in luck warm soapy water. rinse with a hose and air dry in the shade.Q:
what are the 3 dimensions: 30 x 18 x what. that's what is needed to determine airline baggage requirements.1 answer
A:
You may need to contact the airlines to get the dim formula for a duffel. Since this duffel is a cylinder then the 3rd dimension is in question. A piece of rectangular luggage can have 3 dimensions L + W + D. For this duffel the width and depth are the same. Thus 30 + 18= 48. I just checked Delta Airlines and carry on luggage can not exceed 44", so for Delta this would need to be checked through. It is best to contact your airlines.Q:
Do you have the dimensions of this bag? (Height, Width, Depth)1 answer
A:
The Ledmark Large Outback Duffel is a cyclindrical shape. It's 30 inches long and 18 inches in diameter.Q:
Will this product meet airline requirements for standard bag size for checked bagage?1 answer
A:
Each air line has different requirements. Contact the air line you will be traveling with and check the requirements.Q:
Is this big enough to fit a hardhat, coveralls, gloves and a few other small pieces of equipment for wildland fire fighting? (Most importantly, it needs to be able to hold a full brim hard hat).1 answer
A:
This bag would be more than suitable to carry a hard hat and other items as listed below.Q:
Are the straps the right size to carry it on your back like a backpack if needed?2 answers
A:
They aren't designed for that purpose, but depending on how big said person is you could get away with it.VERIFIED BUYER
A:
The existing straps limit carrying to commuter style - could modify with very little work to rucksack-style arrangement of straps although the modifications still wouldn't be comfortable for extended use.
