Comments about Light My Fire Spork:

The idea of having fork and spoon separate is brilliant. No fork tines getting in the way of soup.
BUT, poor quality materials means that these will break, snap, generally fail.
Skip the polymer, go for titanium.

Comments about Light My Fire Spork:

It will probably be very functional on my backpacking trips this summer as it is very lightweight so it will probably be ok.

Tried it out with some spagetti and sauce at home today and it did ok but not great. It's a little too flexible. A more rigid feel would make it work like the real thing. Spoon holds only 1/2 tablespoon if you hold it level and fill it carefully. Would be better if the spoon was deeper to hold more stuff as you eat. Fork is only slightly curved and I had a little trouble keeping my spagetti on it as I ate. One edge is crudely serrated for cutting stuff and it occasionally rubbed against the edge of my mouth as I ran it in and out of my mouth as I ate.

My cons are a bit picky but I think this product will do ok on my pack trips this summer.

Comments about Light My Fire Spork:

I found my first one of these in the regular size at a Co-Op and fell in love. I then purchased a small spork set at our local sporting goods store and again, fell in love but a few were lost, so I had to order more. I love these so much I ordered a blue AND pink set for my kids and ordered a regular one in pink for me. They they fit very well in Stage 3 baby food jars, the fork end is surprisingly ergonomic and comfortable in the hand while using the spoon and they are very easy to clean. I now keep two full size and two smalls in our backpack/diaper bag at all times for those emergencies where you think "crud, I wish I had some utensils" (which happens far more often with smaller children than I think most people would like to admit.) Love, love, love these and will buy more if anymore should go missing. I really don't have a single bad thing to say about them.

After losing my titanium spork after 1900 miles on the AT, I dropped into an outfitter to pick up one of these. After spending my [$], my friends told me I made a mistake and that everyone on the trail who bought one of these broke. I didnt believe them, but by morning I was holding a broken spork. Apparently peanut butter is too hard of food? Anyways, I told myself that on behalf of AT thru hikers I would let others know, this product may be cheap, but it wont last the distance.

This is the best camping/backpacking utensil I've owned. I used it all summer and it worked great. The knife is sharp enough to cut with and the design is ergonomic and easy to hold and use. It cleans very easily and was the envy of the other campers. For just [$], it's a great deal! This is definitely worth putting in one's pack. I only wish they came in some more interesting, vibrant colors...
