Comments about Black Diamond Orbit Lantern: The specific trip I bought the lantern for was a sub-freezing base camp trip. I primarily used the lantern to light our kitchen set up. It performed great from an elevated nest. The lantern also worked great in my tent and is plenty bright for reading or changing. I plan to bring the lantern on my next backcountry trip in April.

Comments about Black Diamond Orbit Lantern: I have never used a small lantern like this, always use a headlamp in the tent. Love using it in the tent while getting ready for bed, the adjustable brightness is great.

Comments about Black Diamond Orbit Lantern: This light is great for hanging inside a tent. There are two folding loops at the top of the lantern to engage straps inside the tent. Light output can be increased/decreased by holding down the on/off switch for dimming capability. Light weight and compact when not in use (approximately half its normal height). Plastic is frosted to reduce glare.
